Featuring over 150 exhibitors, the event took place from July 15 to 16 at the Pro Magno Event Center in São Paulo/SP. The attendance of over 8,000 buyers and industry professionals marked a record for all its more than 30 editions.

Silvana Dilly, superintendent of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Artifacts (Assintecal), celebrated the event’s return to São Paulo, highlighting the high visitation and its reach across economic sectors beyond footwear. “INSPIRAMAIS highlights the evolution of materials and also the transversality of products developed by our industry. Here, in addition to buyers of materials for footwear, we received a large audience focused on other segments, such as automotive upholstery and even pet products,” she said. According to her, another positive aspect of the “return home” was the reaffirmation of the event as a hub for the Brazilian fashion industry to the world. During the two days, INSPIRAMAIS welcomed buyers from Latin America and Portugal, 35 of whom were supported by Brazilian Materials, an internationalization fostering program for the components industry maintained by Assintecal in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Unity

The unity among organizing and supporting entities with industrial unions was also another highlight of the event. “INSPIRAMAIS, since its inception, has had the mission of connecting all links in the fashion production chain. Here, it became very clear that united we are very strong,” emphasized Silvana.

In addition to the joint organization by Assintecal, the Center for Tanning Industries of Brazil (CICB), the Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry (Abit), and the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries (Abimóvel), INSPIRAMAIS received fundamental support from entities such as Sebrae Nacional, ApexBrasil, and the footwear industry unions of Franca/SP, Birigui/SP, Jaú/SP, Nova Serrana/MG, and Maringá/PR, which together brought caravans with over 340 buyers from their respective production hubs.

Best Edition Yet

Adriano Melo, commercial manager of Kisafix, a manufacturer of industrial adhesives from the Killing group, highlighted the effectiveness of this edition of INSPIRAMAIS. “It was the best of all editions, especially because we managed to open important markets, mainly in the automotive upholstery segment, where we are growing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Reginato Metais, a manufacturer of metal components for the footwear and accessories industry, exceeded its goals on the very first day of the event. “We are very satisfied. The São Paulo edition allows us to reach other industry segments and major national and international brands, due to the ease of visitation and logistics,” highlighted the company’s commercial manager, Djeison Daniel da Silva.

The exhibition’s broad scope was also emphasized in the assessment of Emeline Lucca, fashion designer at Branyl, a fabric manufacturer for the fashion industry. According to her, in addition to footwear companies, the company received clients from the decoration, furniture, upholstery, and accessories segments. “We received a significant volume of clients from states other than Rio Grande do Sul. The logistics here in São Paulo facilitated visits from important markets not only in Brazil but worldwide,” she said. According to her, INSPIRAMAIS laid the groundwork for significant deals with Brazilian buyers, as well as those from Argentina and Colombia.

International Business

Over two days, in addition to all the immersive experiences provided by INSPIRAMAIS, the importers brought by Brazilian Materials held 517 meetings with exhibitors. In this edition, the group consisted of 35 companies that already import from the Brazilian market, as well as new international players. According to Assintecal’s report, over R$ 8.3 million in confirmed deals (US$ 1.5 million) were made on-site alone. Including sales that were initiated during the rounds, projections surpassed R$ 44.5 million (US$ 8 million).
