INSPIRAMAIS to Hold Editions in Footwear Hubs
INSPIRAMAIS, the exhibition that took place on July 15 and 16 in São Paulo/SP, will have pocket versions in some of Brazil’s main footwear hubs.

These events, which will feature a material showroom, lectures on the Human research, and creative workshops, will be held in Franca/SP, Birigui/SP, Juazeiro do Norte/CE, Campina Grande/PB, São João Batista/SC, and Novo Hamburgo/RS during August and September. This initiative is by the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Artifacts (Assintecal) in partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and aims to disseminate fashion information and connect the footwear production chain in Brazil, boosting small businesses.
The first stop will be in Franca/SP, the national capital of men’s footwear. Starting at 5 PM on August 5, at the local Senai, some of the more than one thousand materials launched at the main INSPIRAMAIS edition will be presented. A lecture on the Human research, which formed the basis for the creations, and creative workshops are also planned. The sessions will be led by Assintecal consultant Emmanuelle Tonani. Registration is free and open via the provided link.
The second stop will also be in São Paulo, in Birigui, the main production hub for children’s footwear. There, INSPIRAMAIS will take place starting at 5:30 PM on August 12, at the headquarters of the Birigui Footwear and Apparel Industries Union (Sinbi). The material presentation, lectures, and workshops will be led by Assintecal consultant Tatiana Souza. Registration is free and open via the provided link.
Northeast
On September 9, it will be Juazeiro do Norte/CE’s turn to get to know the main INSPIRAMAIS launches, the Human research, and creative workshops. The initiative will take place at the local Sebrae starting at 1:30 PM and will be led by Assintecal consultant Julia Webber. Also in the Northeast, Julia will repeat the intervention in Campina Grande/PB, starting at 10 AM on September 12. Together, these two Northeastern hubs produced over 367 million pairs in 2024, representing about 40% of the sector’s entire national production. Registration is free and open via the provided links (Juazeiro do Norte) and (Campina Grande).
Seincc
During the Santa Catarina Footwear Industry Week (Seincc), which takes place at the São João Batista/SC Event Center on September 23 and 24, the INSPIRAMAIS of the Santa Catarina hub will be held. The presentations, workshops, and lecture will take place over both days and will be led by Assintecal consultant Joana Dalla Roza. The exhibition will be open to fair visitors. Learn more.
INSPIRAMAIS in the hubs will also have an event in Novo Hamburgo/RS, with the date and location to be confirmed. Stay tuned to Assintecal’s social media and website.
The Research
The Human research, which underpinned the launch of over a thousand materials presented at INSPIRAMAIS, brought “Hope” as its keyword. According to Walter Rodrigues, coordinator of Assintecal’s Design and Research Nucleus, it is, however, “a committed hope.” “A hope that reclaims the sense of community and utopia.” The Human research presented materials influenced by dance, playfulness, maximalism, nostalgia, and youth culture. With a technological base, the Community sub-theme drew heavily from movement, elasticity, and fluidity, with many satins, transparencies, and knits. The Utopia sub-theme, on the other hand, brought a lot of intensity, present in maximalism, prints, and distortions. In the color palette, pea green, blue tones, and salmon stood out.
The Exhibition
INSPIRAMAIS was organized by Assintecal in partnership with the Center for Tanning Industries of Brazil (CICB), the Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry (Abit), and the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries (Abimóvel). It was produced by Brazilian Materials and partnered with Sebrae Nacional. The next edition of the event will take place on January 27 and 28, 2026, at the FIERGS Event Center in Porto Alegre/RS.
