The multi-Latin company ranks 39th in the Champions of Innovation ranking, which brings together 80 prominent companies in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná. Artecola Química is among the select group of Champions of Innovation, which identifies the 80 most innovative companies across the Southern Region of Brazil. The ranking was announced this Thursday (July 24th) at an event organized by Grupo AMANHÃ and IXL-Center in partnership with HotMilk – PUCPR Technology Park, in Curitiba. “It was an incredible event, especially because it was located within an innovation hub where the new economy is present, with many young people, developing minds, and startups from various fields. And alongside them, in this ecosystem, are more traditional industries that are also innovative, like Artecola. I strongly believe in this blend of experience and youth to drive innovation forward,” emphasized Fernando Cardoso, Commercial Manager for Brazil, who represented the company at the trophy presentation. Artecola ranks 39th in the ranking.

Fernando points out that innovation isn’t exclusive to companies in the digital sector. “Artecola is a chemical company and has always been innovative, not only in products, but also in internal processes, in the way it promotes its culture, in its relationships with external stakeholders, and in its constant preparation for the future,” the Manager emphasizes. “Furthermore, we have a very strong sustainability DNA, which also resonates with younger generations. When we transform waste into raw materials, by promoting the circular economy, by valuing sustainable practices, we are innovating in products and services and interacting in a special way with the new economy.”

Prior to the awards ceremony, a panel titled “The New Frontier of Innovation: Artificial Intelligence as a Strategy” was held. The ceremony featured presentations by Hitendra Patel, CEO of the IXL Center, and Lauro Valente, Head of IT at the Volvo Group. The Champions of Innovation survey uses the Innovation Management Index, a methodology tool from the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) in the United States. GIMI is a global nonprofit organization created by a team of executives, academics, and consultants specializing in innovation. The group helps individuals, companies, and regions develop world-class innovation management capabilities through standards, metrics, testing protocols, and global certifications. To compile the list of the most innovative companies in the South, the ranking’s creators evaluate the Companies’ responses to a questionnaire covering the topics of Culture, Organization, Resources, Strategy, and Results. The ranking is a pioneer in Brazilian economic journalism and reached its 21st edition this year.
