Assintecal promotes the export of components for the leather-footwear industry through the By Brasil Components, Machinery and Chemicals program. It is carried out in partnership with Apex-Brasil - Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. Among its initiatives is the Buyer Project.
Foreign buyers are invited to visit and participate in strategic events, like Fimec (International Fair for Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries) and the Inspiramais Exhibition. As part of the project, business rounds are organized between guest buyers and companies participating in the By Brasil project.

Results backed by numbers
Between January and December 2016, the companies participating in the project exported US$ 269,455,795.00, which represented a 23-percent growth in comparison with the same period in 2015. The companies in the project export to nearly 80 countries. The exports made through the project in 2016 accounted for 41.3 percent of the sector’s overall exports. In 2015, this figure was 34.3 percent. The companies that are not supported by this project had a 10-percent drop in exports between 2015 and 2016.
