The Primus Award, considered the main award for Brazil’s leather and footwear components industry, honored 13 companies on the night of the 21st for their excellence in sustainability, exports, technological innovation, and design. The awards ceremony was part of the INSPIRAMAIS event, a trade show that launches new materials for the fashion industry, held at FIERGS in Porto Alegre, RS.

During the event, Gerson Berwanger, president of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Artifacts (Assintecal), emphasized the importance of creating positive case studies that can serve as benchmarks for sector development. “Assintecal, as a representative entity for a supply chain that generates wealth and jobs for over 1 million people in Brazil, has the primary mission of continuing to develop our industry in line with market demands. For nearly 20 years, the Primus Award has been a fundamental tool for development and competitiveness,” he said. He also thanked all attendees, exhibitors, visitors, members, the press, and especially the sponsors. “Without the support of our partners, none of this would be possible,” he added.

Organized by Assintecal, the Primus Award was supported by sponsors including FIMEC, Traduzca, Transduarte, Biason, Eurolatina, Tiart, and Grupo Sinos.
