Information value, assertiveness and curatorship. These are three major deliveries of Conexão Inspiramais, a project that for 15 years has offered support to exhibiting companies for the creation and development of innovative materials in design and technology. Inspiramais is the only program of design, innovation and sustainability of materials for fashion worldwide. The next edition of the event, in digital format, will be on January 26th and 27th and will feature another 30 days of inspiring attractions.
According to Walter Rodrigues, coordinator of the Inspiramais Design Center, Conexão starts with the formatting of a behavior research elaborated by ten designers. The material is quite consistent: it brings a concept and several local and global cultural elements, which are presented in detail by the consultants of the nucleus in each company.
For the designer, this decoding makes the content more practical and assimilable, besides guaranteeing more security in the production process. The materials are developed in alignment with the proposal for the season. "Design is process. It has the beginning, which is the research, the medium, which is the production, and the end, which is the exhibition," highlights Walter.
Result from identity
In the dynamics of Conexão Inspiramais, the proximity of the consultant with the companies facilitates the creative process, which is thought for each type of product, directed to the client of each company, bringing assertiveness. "It creates a cohesion of thought, a language from the identity of each one, and this is quite interesting", evaluates the coordinator.
The company defines how many projects it wants to make and develop the materials, which are curated. The core evaluates and indicates possible needs for improvement, in the search for the best result. "The consultants are like a compass. In synergy with the companies, they perceive the needs and act, giving great security", he emphasizes.
The great challenge of Conexão Inspiramais this season is to recreate the experience of the face-to-face event for the digital. The cognitive process, in which materials were touched and perceived in detail with other senses, will now occur through photos and videos, which need to demonstrate quality and innovation. "Inspiramais has this power because it not only establishes the fashion language, but also the business," he concludes.
The program is a reference for the market for bringing together information that unites the language and a methodology for the entire fashion production chain in a single space. The first 100% digital edition took place in August 2020, connecting material launches, innovative projects and recognized speakers with visitors from around the world.
Inspiramais counts on the promotion of the Brazilian Association of Leather, Footwear and Artifact Component Companies (Assintecal), the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Abit), the Brazilian Tannery Industry Center (CICB), and the Brazilian Furniture Industry Association (Abimóvel), Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), through the By Brasil project, Components, Machinery and Chemicals and support from the main sector entities in the country and partners such as Abest, Abiacav, Abicalçados, In-Mod, IBGM, Instituto By Brasil (IBB), ABVTEX, Francal, Ápice, Guia Jeans Wear, Abrafati and Trans Rubber.
